Oman’s Areej Company Explores New Investment Partnerships in Algeria

Oman’s Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivatives Company is exploring new investment and partnership opportunities in Algeria during its first participation in the Algiers International Fair, aiming to expand its presence in African markets and strengthen cooperation with Algerian companies in the food industry.

Areej Vegetable Oils and Derivatives Company, one of Oman’s leading food industry companies, is seeking new investment and cooperation opportunities in Algeria as part of its strategy to expand its regional and international presence. Established in 1980, the company specializes in the production of vegetable oils and related food products, including mayonnaise, ketchup, margarine, and vegetable fats. Over the years, Areej has successfully expanded its activities and markets its products in more than 30 countries, strengthening its position through participation in major regional and international economic events.

The company’s interest in the Algerian market was highlighted during its first participation in the 57th edition of the Algiers International Fair, where it showcased its wide range of products to visitors, businesses, and investors. Areej’s Export Director, Fahad bin Salam bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, stated that the company aims to establish partnerships with Algerian and African companies, emphasizing that the event represents an important platform to explore new business opportunities and strengthen commercial cooperation.

Al Mazrouei noted that the company’s participation aligns with its objective of identifying potential partners and investors in Algeria and the Horn of Africa region. He praised the organization of the exhibition and its role in facilitating communication between international companies and local economic actors. He also highlighted that, although Areej has participated in numerous Arab and international exhibitions, its presence at the Algiers International Fair represents its first experience in the Algerian market and has been highly successful.

The company considers Algeria a promising market for expanding its activities and developing new partnerships, particularly in the food industry. This initiative reflects the growing economic ties between Arab countries and the increasing interest of regional companies in exploring investment opportunities across North African markets.
